Investment Strategy Taconic implemented a capital improvement program which included redesigning the lobby finishes, elevators, and common hallways on each floor, and improving the building's infrastructure to include a state-of-the-art fire suppression and alarm system, a new security access system and a new roof. Additionally, Taconic successfully renewed the leases of all the major tenants in the building at substantially higher rents.

Taconic sold 1625 K Street in December 2000.
