837 Washington Street
Designed by noted architect Morris Adjmi, 837 Washington Street is a six-story, 55,000-square-foot office and retail development that blends an existing landmark building with modern architecture to create an iconic building on a high-profile corner in the evolving Meatpacking District. Our team brought the project through zoning and landmark procedures and successfully gained approvals to construct the building while maintaining much of the character of the original structure. Upon completion in 2014, on time and on budget, the entire building was leased to Samsung Electronics America, Inc. In 2015 Taconic and its partners sold 837 for a record price to TIAA-CREF. Today 837 Washington is still considered to be one of the premier office and retail building in the Meatpacking district.
