![]() Andrew Zlotnick Position: General Counsel and Executive Vice President Email: azlotnick@tacon.com Andrew Zlotnick is a general counsel and executive vice president at Taconic Investment Partners, where he is responsible for all legal matters pertaining to the company’s businesses, including sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, development, land use, financing, leasing, and restructurings, as well as all litigation and regulatory compliance matters. Zlotnick has more than 20 years of experience handling complex real estate transactions in both legal and business capacities. Prior to joining Taconic Investment Partners, Zlotnick was general counsel, executive vice president and a member of the executive board at GFI Capital Resources Group, Inc. From 1996 to 2009, Zlotnick held positions at Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC), first as associate general counsel where he handled virtually every aspect of Forest City’s complex transactional legal work and later, on the business side, as senior vice president of commercial and residential development. Zlotnick represented Forest City in many public-private partnerships and complex mixed-use developments, closing over $1.5 billion in transactions. He was a senior development executive for the $5 billion Atlantic Yards Arena & Redevelopment Project, and also actively pursued the development of several other commercial and residential projects. Zlotnick graduated magna cum laude from Lafayette College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in political philosophy and earned a Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law in 1987. Thereafter, he spent nine years in private legal practice, first at Baer Marks & Upham and later at Arnold & Porter’s New York office, specializing in complex real estate transactions. Zlotnick is admitted to practice law in the State of New York. He regularly speaks at a variety of professional conferences on topics relating to transactional real estate matters. For many years Zlotnick was an adjunct professor of law at Brooklyn Law School where he taught a course on real estate transactions. |
