 Ari M. Shalam Position: Senior Vice President - Acquisitions Email: ashalam@tacon.com Since joining Taconic in 2003, Mr. Shalam has worked closely with the co-chief executive officers in evaluating, underwriting and executing all new acquisitions and development opportunities. Mr. Shalam plays an important role in sourcing investment opportunities, negotiating purchase contracts, structuring joint venture agreements with equity partners and managing transaction closings. Prior to Taconic, Mr. Shalam held the same title at the Kaufman Organization, an owner/operator of more than six million square feet of office space in a 40-building portfolio in New York City where he was employed for 3 years. Earlier, Mr. Shalam co-founded the Shalam Group, where he acquired suburban industrial properties and redeveloped them into multi-tenant office buildings. While with the Shalam Group, he handled all acquisitions, financings, leasing, management and dispositions for nearly 500,000 square feet of office/industrial space and oversaw the investment into more than 1,000 acres of developable land holdings. Mr. Shalam earned his Master of Business Administration from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. |
