 John Weir Position: Senior Vice President - Development Email: jweir@tacon.com Mr. Weir is responsible for development and construction activity of Taconic's portfolio, both commercial and residential. He oversees the development and construction process, from the initial stages of design and planning, to the implementation of capital improvements. Mr. Weir has extensive experience in real estate acquisition, development, finance and portfolio management in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Taconic in 2000, he was a managing director at Halpern Real Estate Development for 4 years, responsible for converting a 65-acre commercial office park into a commercial condominium, including the successful leasing and sales campaign that followed the conversion. Earlier, Mr. Weir served as president of London-based Greycoat PLC, where he oversaw the firm's entry into the United States real estate market and led development and construction of 1.5 million square feet of commercial space in the New York City and Washington, D.C. Mr. Weir is a Fellow Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and holds a real estate management degree from Dundee College of Technology, in his native Scotland. |
